CANCER SCREENING CLINIC
Fight for a Cure will be hosting a FREE cancer screening clinic Friday 13th December at Frenchs Forest Doctors, 24 Frenchs Forest Road East, Frenchs Forest.
- Screening Services: Each appointment includes a skin check and general blood test referal for men and skin, breast, cervical screenings, and general blood test referral for women.
- Booking: To book your appointment, please call 9451 3722 and ask to be booked in to the Fight for a Cure Screening Clinic. Spaces are limited and appointments are first come, first served.
- Billing: The GP Surgery charges the consult to Medicare, and Fight for a Cure covers the gap.
- Follow-Up: There will be a follow-up appointment to discuss results and any necessary treatments. (This can be a telehealth appointment)
- Continuing Care: Patients are responsible for any additional testing and further treatment costs (e.g., ultrasound, specialists or non medicare covered blood tests)
Screening Clinics
Funded through proceeds of various Fight for a Cure events, community fundraising events, together with grants from local and national bodies, Fight for a Cure Ltd host cancer screening clinics across the Northern Beaches to promote early detection of cervical, breast and skin cancer in women, and also skin cancer in the general population.
Clinics are fully funded by Fight for a Cure ltd and conducted by local family GP surgery’s which are friendly, professional and accessible. There is no cost to the patient for the screening.
